- T/T Telegraphic Transfer: It has no bank guarantee and simple operation, being a commonly used method in foreign trade. The regular process is as follows: the customer pays a 30% deposit; the seller produces and prepares goods, ships the goods and issues a bill of lading, then sends a copy to the customer; the customer pays the 70% balance; the seller then sends the original bill of lading.
- L/C Letter of Credit: Backed by bank guarantee for payment, it is the most secure method with comprehensive protection for both buyers and sellers, featuring a relatively complex process and high costs. The core steps are: the buyer issues the L/C; the seller reviews the L/C, then produces, ships the goods and submits the documents; the bank makes payment after verifying the documents in accordance with the UCP600 standard. The whole process relies on banks for document circulation and fund settlement.
- D/P Documents against Payment: The bank collects the payment on behalf of the seller, and the buyer can obtain the bill of lading only after making payment. It is simpler to operate and lower in cost than L/C, and more secure than T/T with deferred payment. It is suitable for customers with moderate cooperation trust who are unwilling to issue an L/C, and the collection and circulation of documents and funds are completed in accordance with the URC 522 rules.
